Global Tsee

I was intrigued by gtsee.com because of the price…only $6.95 to submit to over 1000 directories. I started filling out the order form but stopped when it required that I upload an HTML page to my site with a bunch of links to directories.

DirectoryMaximizer

As part of my SEO company evaluation series, I submitted a new site that I know has no backlinks and practically zero search engine visibility to the folks at Directory Maximizer.

This is the first service of it’s kind that I ever tested so I have nothing to compare it to yet. Of course I’ve tried free directory submitters but those are a joke.

Anyway, the process was fairly simple:

  1. You create an account and password
  2. Add your site, pick categories, add as many titles and descriptions as you’d like
  3. Select submission options (number of directories, budget, etc)
  4. Pay and that’s it.

I spent $16 for 100 directories. They charge an extra $0.02 per submission if you want them to handle the emails & confirmation. I’m too lazy to do that so it’ll cost me a little more.

++++++++++++++++++++++

One day later and I logged in to Directory Maximizer to see the progress on the directory submissions.  I gotta tell you I am pretty impressed with their system. I can’t tell if submissions where manual (though I highly doubt it) but they show you all the directories and what copy+anchor text they submitted.

What’s left to see is how many directories accept the submission and what impact it has on the page rank and visibility.

I’ll keep you posted on the results of this experiment.

Directory Submission Services Review

April 19, 2009 · Filed Under Featured · Comment

I decided to review the various ‘directory submission’ services. Below is a list of all the SEO companies I could find that offer this service and post the prices on their website. I have yet to test any of them but as soon as I do I will let you know the results. Obviously it was difficult to compare apples to oranges with all the different packages on each site. I found the minimum investment from each site and the claimed submissions. I am also contacting each one and giving them an opportunity to tell you in a sentence or two why you should choose their service over the others.

Min $ # of submissions $/submission
gtsee.com $ 6.95 1026 $ 0.01
submit2please.com $ 49.95 1000 $ 0.05
semwebservices.net $ 20.00 300 $ 0.06
linkbuilding-services.com $ 39.00 500 $ 0.08
getlinkspro.com $ 8.00 100 $ 0.08
wlmarketing.com $ 4.50 50 $ 0.09
brandsubmitter.com $ 10.00 100 $ 0.10
linksubmitsite.com $ 10.00 100 $ 0.10
zosap.com $ 11.00 100 $ 0.11
submitshop.com $ 35.00 300 $ 0.12
directorymaximizer.com $ 14.00 100 $ 0.14
developer-hut.com $ 14.99 100 $ 0.15
submitedge.com $ 15.00 100 $ 0.15
seocreations.com $ 15.00 100 $ 0.15
directory-submission.inetzeal.com $ 40.00 250 $ 0.16
directorysubmission.net $ 12.50 50 $ 0.25
directory-submission.net $ 55.00 200 $ 0.28
wmhaven.com $ 39.95 125 $ 0.32
seocompany.ca $140.00 100 $ 1.40

I sent an email out to each of these services. So far BrandSubmitter was the first to give me any kind of response. SubmitEdge and GetLinksPro also responded within the hour.

Responses have been trickling in. The folks at directory-submission.net asked that I add their other site semwebservices.net to the list.

DirectorySubmission.net also got back to me to tell me that they also provide bulk pre-paid packages for large volume clients. Then it would only cost $6.25 for 50 submissions.

Submit2Please also sent an email (I have published their email as a comment below)

Directory Maximizer also sent an email mentioning the advantages. I have published as a comment.

Finally, Zosap asked that I mention that they do Manual Submission, as most of other companies provide software submission.

Let’s see how long it takes to get an answer from anyone else.
